For years, I struggled with restless nights. Menopause brought hot flashes and disrupted sleep. My teenage daughter's sensitive skin made finding the right bedding another challenge. My husband and I could never seem to agree on the right sleeping temperature.
As a professor, I spent my career studying problems and turning observations into solutions. Looking at my own family's sleep struggles, I realized these were different expressions of the same problem: sleep interrupted, night after night.
That insight became the foundation of Breescape®. I set out to create bedding that goes beyond simply feeling soft — engineering every piece with science-backed materials to manage temperature and moisture through the night, combined with the care and precision I've always brought to my work. How Breescape Came to Be
Breescape began with a very common feeling: some nights, no matter how long you lay in bed, you still wake up exhausted, both in body and mind.
Before I was a founder, I was a professor—trained to ask why before looking for how. That's the career I left behind to start Bedsure®, where I spent years thinking about comfort not just as softness, but as the feeling of slowing down and being cared for.
But then menopause soaked my sheets night after night. My teenage daughter's sensitive skin made restful sleep hard to come by. My husband and I could never agree on the thermostat. I realized comfort alone wasn't enough.
So I returned to what I knew best: asking questions, testing ideas, and following the evidence. I came to believe that truly restorative sleep doesn't happen by chance—it requires thoughtful design, rigorous testing, and a deeper understanding of how our bodies respond to heat, moisture, and the sleep environment.
Breescape® grew from that realization.
Drawing on that research-driven approach and over 46 years of textile experience behind us at Bedsure®, we set out to combine long-standing craft with modern sleep science — working closely with sleep researchers, materials engineers, and product designers. Through continuous testing and iterations, every Breescape® piece is engineered with science-backed materials to manage temperature and moisture through the night, building toward a full-night sleep solution.
Every detail is guided by one simple question: how can we sleep with fewer disruptions, so the body can rest naturally?

Our story began with a young mother and her sewing machine, crafting handmade pieces for friends and family. Her dedication to care, craftsmanship, and practical comfort lives on today.
2016
After decades of experience, Bedsure launched with a mission to bring cozy bedding into every home, and has since become the #1 online bedding brand in the US.
2024
Inspired by customer demand for bedding that does more, Breescape was introduced as Bedsure's cooling collection. Designed for whole-night cooling and uninterrupted sleep, it has quickly been embraced by customers.
2025
Through constant iterations, the realization was made: better sleep isn't just about falling asleep; it's about staying asleep comfortably through the night. To address nightly disruptions, Breescape became independent, with one key goal: Breescape. Built to sleep through.
